Hbr 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Hbr 10:35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
1Jo 2:28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
1Jo 3:21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, [then] have we confidence toward God.
1Jo 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
This past sunday I had the joy of fellowshipping with some brothers and sisters in Christ which I haven’t seen in three years. As I was hugging them and catching up with them, I thought back to where I was in Christ the last time I saw them. I remembered how timid I was compared to now, and how fearful I was of having different issues in my life exposed, even minor ones. I was constantly on the lookout so that I wouldn’t ever say or do anything untoward.
I marveled at what God has done in my life to free me of that kind of mentality, and how He has given me an identity in Him, and the confidence to know that whatever evil I have in my heart He is dealing with in His mercy and love. I know that God is not trying to condemn me, that He wants me to be healed in every way and in every place of my heart, and the family of God that He has placed me in has that same mind.
THAT is confidence.
